§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many officers and Defence Ministry civil servants of the ranks referred to in his reply of 26th April have joined firms with contracts to supply arms to his Department in addition to the 97 serving officers and 86 civil servants who have been granted permission but have joined such firms two or more years after retirement or resignation.
§ Mr. MasonThe rules do not require outgoing officers and civil servants to seek permission to take up business appointments, or to report that they have done 193W so, once two years have elapsed since their retirement or resignation.
