§ Mr. MillanPrior to August 1975 financial responsibility for the consultative councils rested with the Scottish Electricity Boards and I am, therefore, asking the Chairman of the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board to provide the hon. Member with information about payments made in the period from 1972. Under the provisions of the Statutory Corporations (Financial Provisions) Act 1975 the financing of consultative councils has, since August 1975, been undertaken by the Government. Payments made in respect of the travelling expenses of members of the Consultative Council for the32W North of Scotland district have so far amounted to £768.62p.
