HC Deb 14 April 1976 vol 909 c622W
Mr. Litterick

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish in the Official Report a list of the offences against prison rules committed by Mr. Dennis Warren, together with the loss of remission of sentence for each alleged offence.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

Mr. Warren has been charged with a total of 33 offences against discipline under Rule 47 of the Prison Rules 1964, a copy of which is available in the Library of the House. Of the charges, 31 were found proved and resulted in 17 awards of immediate forfeiture of remission amounting to 134 days as well as three suspended awards totalling 20 days, of which 14 days were subsequently activated. Of the 148 days actually forfeited, 28 days have so far been restored. The paragraphs of Rule 47 involved, with the number of charges found proved in brackets, were as follows: 6 (4), 13 (1), 14 (4), 17 (1), 18 (19), 20 (2).
