HC Deb 14 April 1976 vol 909 cc599-600W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Attorney-General how many scheduled, and non-scheduled, cases, respectively, brought in Northern Ireland, have been abandoned for want of witnesses willing and able to testify.

The Attorney-General

Examination of records of scheduled and non-scheduled cases is proceeding, but I regret that, owing to the short time since notice of the question was given, I cannot answer today. I will, however, at an early date provide the hon. Member with the information requested in respect of cases intended to be tried on indictment which have had to be abandoned since 1st January 1975.
