§ Mr. Ripponasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will take steps to ensure that the undertakings given in respect of the Kielder dam project to provide new homes in the locality for the families displaced are implemented without delay.
§ Mr. ShoreThe statutory responsibility for providing replacement dwellings in these circumstances rests with Tyne-dale District Council, with financial support as necessary from the Northumbrian Water Authority. I have no reason to suppose that this responsibility will not be promptly and adequately discharged.
