asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give details of the number of new jobs created in Wales over the last five years where the employer has received financial and /or other assistance from Government sources.

Information is not available in precisely the form requested. However, the adidtional employment in Wales which is expected to arise as a result of offers of selective financial assistance is shown below. In addition, employment is expected to arise from other forms of Government assistance—e.g., the letting of Government factories, and residual payments under the Local Employment Acts.
