§ Mr. Anthony Grantasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will take steps to reduce the number of foxes in the South-East in general and in the London borough of Harrow in particular, in view of the danger of rabies infection.
§ Mr. StrangFoxes would present a rabies hazard only if the disease were introduced into our wild life following the illegal import of an infected animal. The Government's firm aim is to prevent this happening. Nevertheless, we have contingency plans for fox eradication in an infected area in the event of a rabies outbreak in wild life.
