§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether there is within his Department a translation unit whose services are available to other Government Departments, and, if so, whether this service is also open to local authorities and public corporations in Wales.
§ Mr. John MorrisThere is a translation unit in my information division which services the needs of Welsh Office and all other Government Departments. The Welsh Office is ready to advise whenever any translation problems arises and may be able to offer practical assistance to local authorities when their needs cannot be otherwise met. Within the limitations of staff resources a service is provided when possible, on request, to other bodies and corporations.
