Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether the contract negotiated between the United Kingdom AEA and Rio Algom Mines Ltd. in 1968 to buy 7,500 short tons of uranium oxide between 1977 and 1982 and later assigned to Rossing Uranium, Ltd., of Swakopmuno, Namibia, will be honoured by Her Majesty's Government.

As was announced on 9th December 1974—[Vol. 883, c. 23]—the Government do not propose to disturb this contract.

Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what percentage of United Kingdom total requirements of uranium concentrates will be obtained from Rossing Uranium Ltd. by 1980 on the assumption that contractual obligations are observed.

asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether the price agreed to be paid for uranium concentrates from Rossing, Namibia, is substantially below the current market price.
