Mr. Stonehouse

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list in the Official Report the deaths and casualties, respectively, from terrorism in Great Britain in each of the last eight years and for 1976 to date for the categories. Army, police and civilians, respectively.

I regret that information for the years 1969, 1970 and 1971 is not readily available. Since 1st January 1972, 61 people have been killed in Great Britain as a result of bomb incidents. 15 of these were members of the Armed Forces. In addition over 1,140 people have been injured, including 92 members of the Armed Forces and 25 police officers. The available criminal statistics are as follows:
