§ Mr. RowlandsThe first meeting of the Representative Assembly has been delayed by disagreements about the procedure and qualifications for election to the seats reserved for customary chiefs. The British and French Governments are together working to resolve these difficulties with New Hibridean political leaders so that the Assembly can meet as soon as possible on a generally acceptable basis.
