Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is his present estimate of the losses likely to be incurred by Harland and Wolff in the current year.

Mr. Orme,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 5th April 1976; Vol. 909, c. 29], gave the following information:

It is too early in the calendar year 1976 to forcast with any precision, but at the present time I expect that Harland and Wolff's losses will be between £5 million and £10 million.
