§ Mr. Pymasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in the light of the Stocktaking Document on the CAP, 101W what consideration his Department has given to Community measures to encourage private forestry on marginal land.
§ Mr. StrangMy Department has taken part in official discussions in Brussels on the Commission's proposals for a draft afforestation directive, and the Council considered this and a number of other proposals related to agricultural structure at its meeting on 19th–20th January. My right hon. Friend and I expect discussion in the Council on these various proposals to be resumed shortly.
