asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he is satisfied that increases in the charges for water and the treatment of trade effluent will not place the wool textile industry at a trading disadvantage with its European competitors.

I have received representations from the wool textile industry about the charges for water and trade efflulent treatment. These are at present being considered and I shall be writing to the hon. Member.
