asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will update the table given to the hon. Member for Haltem-price on 22nd November 1974 (Official Report, c. 529–30) relating to comparative expenditure by NATO and the Warsaw Pact.

Details of defence expenditure as a percentage of GNP andper capita were given to the hon. Member for Torbay (Sir F. Bennett) on 26th February. Comparable total expenditure figures in US $ for 1975 are as follows:
