HC Deb 02 April 1976 vol 908 cc591-2W
Mr. Body

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will undertake to postpone further action in the Craythorne Lane Scheme in Boston until the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Administration has completed his inquiries.

Mr. Marks

No. Construction of the road has already been delayed, to the disbenefit of many of the population of Boston. The road scheme has gone through all its statutory processes and an application to overthrow the Road Order has been rejected by the Court of Appeal. No complaint has been referred to the Department by the PCA and any such reference would not affect the need for the road.
