HC Deb 28 October 1975 vol 898 c443W
Mr. Marten

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will list all projects in Northern Ireland which are receiving regional aid from the United Kingdom Government; and which are earmarked for such regional aid.

Mr. Orme

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 24th October 1975; Vol. 898, c. 286], gave the following information:

Industrial and infrastructure projects in Northern Ireland are financed from the Northern Ireland Consolidated Fund, whose income comes mainly from the Northern Ireland share of United Kingdom taxation, and from a grant-in-aid—just under £200 million in 1974–75—on the Votes of the Northern Ireland Office. It is not possible to list particular projects as being financed out of the grant in aid.
