asked the Prime Minister if he will seek to arrange a meeting with trade union officers and shop stewards on Merseyside.

My hon. Friend will know that I have held meetings on Merseyside with the representatives of both unions and management of Plessey's on 10th October and of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board on 17th October. I have at present no plans for any further meetings with unions in the area.
