HC Deb 23 October 1975 vol 898 cc240-1W
Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many patients in Inner London have been removed from general practitioners' lists at the request of the doctor during each of the last 10 years for which figures are available.

Dr. Owen

The information is as follows and relates to the year ending 31st March in each case:

1965 4,253
1966 6,796
1967 6,163
1968 6,270
1969 6,517
1970 8,694
1971 6,423
1972 6,163
1973 5,306
1974 5,479
On 1st April 1974 the area of the former Inner London Executive Council was split between seven family practitioner committees, some boroughs being grouped with boroughs outside the Inner London area. An Inner London figure for any period after that date could not therefore be obtained without undue labour.
