§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food why the retail price of milk will be increased by l½ p, i.e., 21 per cent., when the increase 201W to the producer is to be only 4.5p per gallon, i.e., roughly 10 per cent.
§ Mr. StrangMy right hon. Friend announced in July that a further increase of 1p per pint in the maximum retail price would be necessary this year. The 1½P per print increase is, therefore, required to finance earlier increases in costs as well as the increases in the guarantee which my right hon. Friend announced in the House on 29th September and 15th October.
