HC Deb 21 October 1975 vol 898 cc139-40W
Mr. Litierick

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he is satisfied that expenditure cuts proposed by education authorities in the West Midlands will not reduce the effectiveness of the efforts of Her Majesty's Government to increase the number of training places available to young people in the West Midlands.

Mr. Mulley

The Government have provided the necessary funds to enable the number of training places for young people to be increased. I am not aware that any local education authority in the West Midlands has been prevented by financial considerations from offering extra training places in colleges of further education.
