asked the Minister of Overseas Development if he is making a contribution to the appeal launched by the Office for Special Relief Operations of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations for contributions towards the pest control campaign in the Sahelian zone.

Yes, I have decided that we should contribute £10,000. A Supplementary Estimate to cover the British contribution will be put forward in due course but meanwhile I am arranging provision from the Civil Contingencies Fund.
