§ Mr. KaufmanThe Drypool Group Ltd. sought financial assistance under the Industry Act 1972, but my right hon. Friend was not able to agree. The owners of ships under construction by Drypool then tried to mount a rescue operation and sought the Department's help. Although my right hon. Friend met most of their requests they decided not to go ahead. A receiver was appointed and his report is being considered urgently.
