HC Deb 21 October 1975 vol 898 cc127-8W
Mr. Pardoe

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment why his Department has instructed the North Cornwall District Council to install electric ceiling heating in 164 new council houses at Ridgegrove, Launceston; and what evidence he has that this type of heating is the most efficient in terms of cost to the council and the tenants and in terms of the use of energy.

Mr. Armstrong

No such instructions have been given. The decision on the most appropriate form of heating at Ridgegrove, Launceston, as in council housing generally, rests with the local authority.
