HC Deb 21 October 1975 vol 898 c153W
Mr. Thorne

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if it is his policy to sell the Jaguar aircraft to India; and if he will make a statement on any other post-August 1975 export orders pending.

Mr. William Rodgers

As I told my hon. Friend in a recent letter, we would be prepared to agree to the sale of Jaguars to India provided financial terms were right. It is not our practice to give details of arms sales negotiations current or pending.

Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Defence why the Government refused to allow three submarines worth £30 million to be built in the United Kingdom for Persia.

Mr. Mason

No such order has been received from Iran.
