Mr. Weetch

asked the Lord President of the Council how much has been spent on advertising the Government's current economic policy, The Attack on Inflation, both in the national and regional Press; and whether he will make a statement.

The amount spent on advertising the Government's economic policy in the national and regional Press has been £94,000.

Mr. Weetch

asked the Lord President of the Council whether he will consider allocating a greater proportion of expenditure on advertising the measures contained in his policy, The Attack on Inflation, in regional newspapers.

Yes. A significant proportion of the Press advertising for the next phase of this campaign will appear in regional newspapers.
