§ Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Scotland by what percentage he now estimates that the sum raised in local rates in Scotland in the current financial year exceeds the sum raised in the last financial year; and if he will publish in the Official Report a further percentage comparison of these figures which takes account of the length of the current rating year.
§ Mr. William RossThe sum raised in rates in 1975–76 will be approximately 725W 30 per cent. above that in 1974–75. Arithmetically this is equivalent to about 50 per cent. for 12 months.
