§ 47. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects the Humber Bridge to be completed; and if he will make a statement explaining the causes of the delay.
§ Mr. CroslandI understand from the Humber Bridge Board that the bridge is expected to be completed in late 1978; delays have been caused mainly by unexpected geological conditions on the site, delays in the supplies of materials, labour problems and bad weather last winter but the board believes these difficulties have been overcome.
