§ Mr. Jayasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) what is the total amount of wine now held in storage by the EEC;
(2) what is the total of EEC funds spent in the present year on intervention buying and subsidised sales of wine.
§ Mr. StrangThere are no Community provisions for either the intervention buying of wine or its storage by EEC agencies. At 31st August 1975, stocks of wine on which private storage aids were being paid amounted to 19.8 million hi. Details of refunds paid on wine exports in the current year are not yet available.
