HC Deb 13 October 1975 vol 897 c597W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the increase in revenue from tourism last year; and to what is it attributable.

Mr. Orme

The Northern Ireland Tourist Board estimates that between 1973 and 1974, tourist revenue—excluding carrier receipts for passenger traffic between Northern Ireland and Great Britain—from visitors, day excursionists and home holiday makers increased from £25 million to £26.5 million. The increase is attributable to increased prices during the period.
