§ Mr. CarmichaelThe possibility of bright lines producing attacks of epilepsy is well known, and was thoroughly studied during experimental work on bar lines. The bar line system was accordingly designed to avoid the frequency bands associated with visually-induced epilepsy. We have had no reports of epilepsy attributable to this cause.
