§ Dr. OwenHealth authorities have been asked to review existing service plans and to submit by January 1977 strategic plans including capital proposals for the ensuing decade. We have not yet been able to notify regional health authorities of the financial assumptions on which the capital proposals and their timing should be based. It is in this context that the future pattern of hospital provision for the Ormskirk district, including Skelmersdale, will be determined. In the meantime a total of £293,500 is being made available for alterations and extensions now in progress or due to start this financial year at the Ormskirk and District General Hospital.
