§ Mr. Lomasasked the Prime Minister why the wool textile industry was excluded from his recent discussions with textile industry employers and unions on the subject of import controls.
§ The Prime MinisterThere was no request from representatives of the wool textile industry to be present at my meeting with the textile industry unions on 24th November.
§ Mr. Lomasasked the Prime Minister if he will arrange to receive a deputation representing the wool textile industry to discuss the problems of the industry.
§ The Prime MinisterI have at present no plans to do so, but my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry will shortly be meeting a delegation from the British Textile Confederation including representatives of the wool textile industry.
