HC Deb 26 November 1975 vol 901 c156W
Mr. Lomas

asked the Prime Minister why the wool textile industry was excluded from his recent discussions with textile industry employers and unions on the subject of import controls.

The Prime Minister

There was no request from representatives of the wool textile industry to be present at my meeting with the textile industry unions on 24th November.

Mr. Lomas

asked the Prime Minister if he will arrange to receive a deputation representing the wool textile industry to discuss the problems of the industry.

The Prime Minister

I have at present no plans to do so, but my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry will shortly be meeting a delegation from the British Textile Confederation including representatives of the wool textile industry.
