§ Mr. Ovendenasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received concerning the proposed closure of Sittingbourne College of Education; what replies he has sent; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
§ Mr. MulleyStudents at the college are urging me to agree to an intake in September 1976 so that those who have been preparing to enter the college then will not be disappointed. No reply has yet been sent but, in general, I think that when teacher training is to cease at208W Council meeting in Rome on 1st and 2nd December.
