asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what further efforts have been made to bring about a just and peaceful constitutional settlement in Rhodesia.

During the Rhodesia sanctions debate on 31st October, my right hon. Friend gave the House a full account of the Government's efforts to this end. Since then we have been keeping in touch with the leaders of the neighbouring countries. Last week my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister and my right hon. Friend had useful discussions with President Nyerere. He also discussed Rhodesia with Dr. Muller, the South African Foreign Minister.
