HC Deb 26 November 1975 vol 901 c223W
Mr. Roderick

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he is now able to announce the names of the chairman and members of the Land Authority for Wales and the location of their headquarters.

Mr. John Morris

I am pleased to say that my noble Friend Baroness White has accepted my invitation to become Chairman of the Land Authority for Wales. I hope to announce the names of the other members shortly so that the Authority, in collaboration with Welsh local authorities, can prepare to implement the community land scheme throughout Wales. Subject to the satisfactory outcome of lease negotiations the initial headquarters of the Land Authority will be in Cardiff, though it will be for the Authority to determine the location of its permanent head-quarters in due course.
