HC Deb 26 November 1975 vol 901 c221W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what is the estimated housing stock in each of the counties of Wales in the private and public sectors, respectively;

(2) if he will publish in the Official Report the estimated age distribution of the housing stock in Wales as a whole, and in each area of Wales for which data are available.

Mr. John Morris

For Wales as a whole this informtion is given in Table 2.32 of the Digest of Welsh Statistics No. 21, a copy of which is in the Library. No county breakdown of the data is available, but an analysis into three broad regions is provided in the Welsh House Condition Survey 1973, a copy of which is also in the Library.

Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many dwellings and dwellings per capita were completed in the public and private sectors, respectively, in each of the counties of Wales during each of the last 10 years.

Mr. John Morris

For completions in Wales as a whole I would refer the hon. Member to Table 2.27 of the Digest of Welsh Statistics No. 21. Corresponding information regarding individual authorities may be obtained from the quarterly DOE/WO publication entitled "Local Housing Statistics". Copies of both these publications are in the Library. To express these figures per head of population would involve an undue amount of staff time.
