§ Mr. John FraserStatistics published today show that the number of unemployed school leavers fell between 9th October and 13th November, approximately the period for which the recruitment subsidy scheme was in operation, from 65,292, to 40,402. Although proportionately this is in line with previous years' experiences, it represents more than double the actual number of unemployed school leavers entering employment in any corresponding period of recent years.
