§ Mr. Cryerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is satisfied that suitable larger premises were not available for the public inquiry into the Airedale trunk road.
§ Mr. CarmichaelYes.
§ Mr. Cryerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will request the inspector conducting the inquiry into the Airedale trunk road to produce a timetable for the inquiry so that all objectors will have access and, in particular, such people as shift workers without losing an excessive amount of time off work.
§ Mr. CarmichaelMy hon. Friend is no doubt aware of the disturbances that have affected the inquiry so far. When the inquiry proceeds in any orderly way the inspector will produce a programme for the inquiry and arrange timings.
