asked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the estimated cost of running the Royal Yacht in the current financial year.

The running costs of the Royal Yacht for the financial year 1975–76 are estimated at about £2¼ million. This figure reflects the cost of "Britannia's" triennial refit, which will be carried out early in 1976.
