HC Deb 12 November 1975 vol 899 c703W
Mr. Michael Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress has been made since 7th July by his departmental inquiry into the use of woodwool formwork for concrete floors; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Freeson

The Fire Research Station is carrying out tests to evaluate the fire resistance in structures where woodwool slabs have been used, but these are not likely to be completed for six months. In the meantime, a number of buildings in which this material has been used have been examined, but have revealed no evidence that there is any immediate risk to safety.
