HC Deb 12 November 1975 vol 899 c732W
20. Mr. Buchanan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the number of properties acquired in advance of requirements in the Springburn area and which are now in a derelict condition, he will treat Springburn as a special area for the purpose of central Government assstance, in order to enable developments which are urgently required to be proceeded with despite the prevailing financial situation.

Mr. Millan

I recognise the special problems of Springburn and the need for urgency in tackling them. I shall consider as sympathetically as possible any proposals which require my sanction.
