HC Deb 12 November 1975 vol 899 cc727-8W
Mr. Hall-Davis

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what arrangements have been made to ensure that the advice of the Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee will be available at all times and on all relevant matters to the Health and Safety Commission; whether the advice will be confined to the safety of those working in nuclear installations; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Benn

The Health and Safety Commission has full access to the Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee and its work. The committee's advice, which is not confined to the safety of workers in nuclear installations, is available to the commission on all aspects of nuclear safety arising from the Nuclear Installations Act 1965.
