HC Deb 12 November 1975 vol 899 c802W
Mr. Boscawen

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether those individuals who otherwise would qualify for a mobility allowance but who reach the age of 65 years for men or 60 years for women, during the three-year period starting 1st January 1976 but before their age group is included in the scheme, will be allowed to qualify.

Mr. Alfred Morris

Under the arrangements we have announced people will be able to qualify for mobility allowance only if they are themselves still under minimum pension age when the last of the groups under pension age becomes eligible for the allowance.
