§ Mr. Michael Lathamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress is being made in his consideration of the Wood Report entitled "The Public Client and the Construction Industries"; and when he expects to be in a position to give more detailed guidance to public sector clients on the recommendations of the report.
§ Mr. FreesonMy Department will take account of the report in producing a code of procedures on housebuilding, to consolidate and bring up to date its advice to local authorities. As this will take some time to complete, sections of the code will be issued as they are ready. The guidance in respect of public sector work other than housing is being considered by Departments concerned.
