HC Deb 11 November 1975 vol 899 c620W
Mr. Geraint Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) whether he is aware of the poor reception of both BBC and independent television programmes in the area of Llangernyw, Clwyd; and what steps he proposes to take by way of advice to the BBC and the relevant independent television companies with a view to improving that reception.

(2) what would be the approximate cost of erecting and maintaining a minor television booster in the neighbourhood of Llangernyw, Clwyd, for the purpose of improving television reception in the area.

Mr. Alexander W. Lyon

The broadcasting organisation appreciate that the Llangernyw area is not well served with television, but it is unlikely that a station to serve that area will be provided within the next few years because the resources available will be needed to provide service for larger communities. In the absence of plans for a station, it is not possible to estimate what it would cost.
