§ Miss Joan LestorRecurrent expenditure by local education authorities on nursery education in England in the financial years 1974–75 and 1975–76 is estimated at £30 million and £35 million respectively, at 1975 survey prices.
§ 34. Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether additional resources will be made available for the expansion of nursery education during 1976–77 in order to meet the needs of the pre-school child.
§ Miss Joan LestorA nursery education building programme of £8.5 million for starts in 1976–77 was announced in August.
