§ Mr. Alexander W. LyonIn 1972–73, a Government grant of £100,000 was made to the Young Volunteer Force jointly by the Voluntary Services Unit and the Department of Education and Science. The amounts paid by the VSU in 1973–74 and 1974–75 were, respectively, £135,000 and £186, 282. The grant currently estimated for 1975–76 is £238,000.
