Mr. Geoffrey Finbergasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on how many occasions in the 12 months ended 30th September 1975 he made public representations to overseas Governments in respect of sentences, trials, arrests, interrogation and alleged ill-treatment of foreign nationals; and which countries were the subject of such representations.
§ Mr. EnnalsDuring the 12 months in question my right hon. Friend has made representations, which have been made public at the time or subsequently, on one or other of the subjects listed above on some 18 occasions to the following countries: Chile, Ethiopia, Portugal, Rhodesia, South Africa and Spain.
