§ Mr. Fairbairnasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many times flag poles have been put up in Parliament Square during 1975; how many poles there are; and what was the cost to put each one up and take it down again.
§ Mr. ArmstrongPoles were put up on three occasions. Sixteen poles were erected for Europe Day and United Nations Day respectively and, exceptionally, 36 poles for the Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference, the cost of which is being reimbursed. The cost varied from £66 to £85 per pole.
